A Journey from Spanish Major to Entrepreneur Well, it was really built on momentum. I was a Spanish major in college. At 27, I was given a one in a million opportunity to move to Costa Rica for a couple of months and work at my friend's center. I decided to stay and two months turned into four years. So I really learned the business from the inside out. And kind of like a football analogy, I was getting a lot of first downs. And when you get positive reinforcement, it only lets you know that you're doing something correctly. So by being a guest in this country, falling in love with the girl of my dreams and really being accepted because I understood the rules, it worked for me. I found the right place to be. And now I can pay it forward like you do, Marcus, where it's not just all financial. You're paying it forward with a compliment or giving someone time or attention or just being a true friend. And so for me, I'm able to feed families. I give them stability. And also self-reliance and self-confidence. And so I can combine my Northeast Philadelphia to this Costa Rican culture, learning the call center industry, putting my special sauce on it because I collect pinball and jukeboxes and just create a really nice company culture, kind of like a winning team. It's synergy where all parts work together for the common good of the whole. You can have a coach or a captain or somebody on the team that riles you up and is that cheerleader, but they can also be a cancer. You need to get the respect from the people that work with you. So if you get promoted, it's through merit. And then they're the ones that follow. Accountability and Relationship Building I'll give you one of the best examples, no surprises. Good, bad or ugly, I'll make a phone call to my client. I prefer preventions instead of cures. And now naturally my relationship with this individual is great anyway, but something came up. And so I make the phone call, let them know what's happening, make suggestions and have an action plan. Do I wish that I'm talking about touchdowns? Yes, but there's a fumble there. So why don't we discuss what went wrong my accountability, because I'm willing to fall on every sword, every sword, just to keep the tone and be diplomatic and strategic. It's not a deal breaker. Even though I wasn't even in the country, I'll still take responsibility for it. And they realize that it's an overextension, but that's not the point. The point is, if you have that sort of relationship where you can be forthright with an individual and you talk about what's good and bad, you listen to opinions, you make suggestions and collectively you move forward, What a relationship. It's like a band. It's a team. It's anybody that's working together. And my ego is fine. I might be a decision maker in certain areas, but a lot of my decisions are done because of past experiences. https://youtu.be/2j3Bq9LcgQ4 https://youtube.com/shorts/fyleIXD0O_Y?feature=share https://youtube.com/shorts/Fr_98aeDkJM?feature=share https://youtube.com/shorts/3Vnifqy9V4o?feature=share
